Dr. László Vasa was interviewed by the Uzbek state news agency, Dunyo

Dr. László Vasa was interviewed by the Uzbek state news agency, Dunyo, on President Mirziyoyev’s visit to Turkey. The visit goes beyond bilateral relations and signals Turkey’s growing geopolitical weight and Uzbekistan’s confident, multi-vektoral foreign policy in the Eurasian region. The relationship between Ankara and Tashkent has now become an institutionalized, extended strategic partnership, in which Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s reform-oriented policy plays a key role. Turkish-Uzbek economic cooperation is bringing tangible results in the areas of trade, investment and transport connections, and Turkey has become one of the central organizing forces in the Turkic world. All this is also of strategic importance for Hungary: as an observer member of the Organization of Turkic States and through the Eastern Opening policy, Budapest can gain concrete geopolitical and economic benefits from active cooperation with the Turkic world.
